Featherbed Lane just beaten a nose(1.01 in running) means a loss of 2.5 pts on bet. Will be keeping a running total on these for the year. Because we are using 5 place bookmaker often, keep stakes moderate if using internet. Typically £10 to £50 based on odds and my advised stakes.

In this trappy race I've attempted to reduce the selections to horses that appear to me well in based on collateral formlines, ability to stay distances or are relatively unexposed.

1. Featherbed Lane  1 pt E/W@14/1

A runner that won easily LTO over a similiar distance and not too harshly treated for that win at Aintree.

2. Ohio Gold  1 pt E/W @12/1

Earlier runs in good level novice events suggest this one could be capable of something here.

3. Domtaline 1 pt E/W @20/1

I feel this one not yet achieved what been expected but with Derham up I can see a possible good performamce here.

Following on from last winter modest profit, again since the new staking was introduced in May we have again made a small profit. If I had included the stuff supplied on twitter and the blog, things would look a lot better. Still returns better then from a bank and if betting at £5 a point costs of service would be covered. This year, much less on twitter ad blog in terms of tips and these type of bets will be supplied in my e-mails, mainly in my beta bets category. One yesterday won at 7/2. Looking at returns I realise I was not giving enough "action" . Still happy to return a profit after being well down on Eclipse day.
